P.A.S. Design Build

Summary

Created the brand and creative foundation for P.A.S. Design Build, then repositioned the company as it evolved from a local construction business into a high-end design-build studio specializing in net-zero and high-performance Hudson Valley homes.

The Vision

When Aiden first approached me in March 2024, P.A.S. was taking shape as a new construction company. The initial challenge was to create a brand that felt reliable, professional, and trustworthy in an industry where clients make significant financial and personal investments.

As the business developed, its ambitions changed. P.A.S. began moving beyond conventional construction toward high-end design-build projects and net-zero homes. The brand needed to evolve with it.

Our goal became positioning P.A.S. as more than a capable contractor. It needed to feel like a thoughtful design-build partner with the knowledge, craftsmanship, and attention to detail required to guide sophisticated residential projects from concept through completion.

My Role

I have worked closely with P.A.S. since March 2024, shaping both its visual identity and the way the company presents its work.

My role has included:

  • Brand strategy and positioning

  • Creative direction

  • Logo and visual identity

  • Brand voice and messaging

  • Website strategy, copy, design, and development

  • Original photography

  • AI-assisted architectural visualization

  • Flyers and sales materials

  • Vehicle graphics and decals

  • Ongoing brand stewardship

The Creative Direction

The original identity used bold typography, geometric construction forms, and a high-contrast orange palette. It gave the new company an immediate sense of confidence and visibility across job sites, vehicles, flyers, and other practical applications.

As P.A.S. moved toward higher-value residential work, the identity needed to communicate a different level of refinement.

I developed a quieter serif wordmark with warmer color, more generous spacing, and a more architectural character. The evolved identity helped move P.A.S. from the visual language of a conventional contractor toward a brand designed for discerning homeowners investing in carefully considered Hudson Valley homes.

I also helped develop the positioning and language used to explain the company’s integrated design-build approach. The website was organized around the questions prospective clients needed answered: what P.A.S. builds, what makes its process different, and why clients should trust one team to guide their project from design through construction.

The Work

The Impact

The evolved brand has helped P.A.S. present itself with greater clarity and confidence as it moves into a more specialized market.

The company now has:

  • A clear and recognizable identity

  • A stronger position in the Hudson Valley design-build market

  • Messaging that explains the value of its integrated approach

  • A visual system capable of supporting high-end and net-zero homes

  • A consistent presence across digital, print, environmental, and vehicle applications

  • A stronger platform for attracting new clients

Since introducing the new direction, P.A.S. has attracted more clients and is better positioned to pursue the higher-value residential work it wants to build.

Reflection

My work with P.A.S. demonstrates what can happen when creative direction evolves alongside a business.

The engagement was never limited to designing a logo or building a website. It involved helping define how the company wanted to be understood, creating a visual and verbal foundation around that idea, and then evolving the brand as its ambitions changed.

What began as an identity for a dependable local construction company has grown into a more sophisticated brand for high-performance residential design and building. My role has been to give that evolution clarity, consistency, and a recognizable voice.
